The Reading with TLC programs, Lively Letters and Sight Words You Can See, have been instrumental in changing the lives of struggling students since the programs were created in 1990 (Lively Letters) and 1994 (Sight Words You Can See) in Boston, MA. Teachers and clinicians across the country and around the world are reporting great gains when tutoring with the TLC methods and materials, especially appreciating the fact that these programs are intersensory, linking the various senses with powerful cueing techniques for struggling learners. The colorful images, humorous story cues, and fast paced progress motivate students who are usually frustrated or bored with typical phonemic awareness, phonics, and sight word training methods. Given small group or individualized tutoring sessions, it is not unusual for students to make gains of 1.5 to 3 years in a matter of 30 to 40 hours of therapy, with older students showing much higher gains. This is as motivating and exciting for instructors as it is for students and their parents.

The professionals listed in this directory have been trained in, and have been using, the Lively Letters and Sight Words You Can See programs. Registering as a Reading with TLC Tutor
We are now accepting applications from those wishing to be listed in the Reading with TLC Tutor Directory. There is no cost to apply, but if you are approved to be listed in the directory, you will be asked to submit a $100 fee to be listed for one year. For details about the Reading with TLC
